When I was 19 years old, I was a crew member on-board The Fast Attack Submarine, USS Gudgeon (SS-567), the 1st Submarine of any nation to circumnavigate the globe.
Search online to find out about the original story of USS Gudgeon (SS-567). It was published in the book “Blind Man’s Bluff” (Chapter 2, Whiskey-A-Go-Go). Written in 1998 by Sherry Sontag & Christopher and Annette Drew.
But what really happened has been updated in the book, “Sub Tales 3” Published in 2022 by Charles Hood, MD, and Frank Hood.
